3 Tips to Improve Your Fundraising Now!

You may already be using one or all of these methods. If not, try them and see what happens.

First, I recommend that you create and share video messages from the CEO or Executive Director. This helps build the relationship with the donor. The video puts a face to the mission. If you're wondering what the topic(s) should be, think about what you're currently working on or trying to accomplish. Are you in a capital campaign? Is it an awareness month where you can further educate people about your cause? It doesn't have to be long (2-3 minutes is more than enough). There are a few Directors who have are currently doing this and they've mastered it. I love watching their videos.  

Next, pick up the phone! Call those donors that gave to you more than once in the last 12 months. If you haven't talked to them, take time to connect. If you don't have time to call all of them, pick at least 10 and go from there.

Finally, find the warmest, most sincere story you can and share it with your donors via every method possible. I'm sure you probably already knew this, but I wanted to remind you that you have to do it more than just during the Big Give and end of year campaigns. You should have at least five to six stories that you can share on a regular basis. Don't wait! Make it happen. The sooner you take action, the sooner you'll raise more money.
